John T. Drawdy, Jr., CPA is the founder and owner of Paragon Accounting & Tax Solutions, LLC, a Woodstock, Georgia-based CPA firm he launched in 2013 to serve small business owners across northwest metro-Atlanta. With nearly 30 years of experience in auditing, accounting, and taxation, John has built his career around one mission: putting more money in the pockets of the business owners he serves.
John earned his bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of South Carolina (Moore School of Business). His professional credentials include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Tax Coach (CTC), and Advanced Certified Profit First Professional. By special invitation, John has written and edited questions for the CPA Exam, and he has taught undergraduate and graduate-level accounting courses. He is also a member of the Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honor Society.
Before founding Paragon, John served as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Director of Internal Audit at Integrity Bank, and Audit Manager at Miller Ray Houser & Stewart LLP. His industry experience spans financial institutions, manufacturing, construction, and healthcare, including SEC reporting and external auditing. In December 2023, he joined Financial Gravity Companies, Inc. as a Family Office Director, delivering advanced tax solutions nationwide. He also serves as a Board Member of PASBA (Professional Association of Small Business Accountants).
In 2025, Paragon was named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies (No. 3515) on the strength of 111% three-year growth. John has appeared as a featured guest on the Grow My Accounting Practice Podcast (Episode 437) discussing Profit First implementation in larger businesses, and his work has been featured in Enjoy Cherokee Magazine. An Eagle Scout, he also serves as Appalachian Trail District fundraising chair for Cherokee and Pickens counties.
